Prasarana Chair Warns Of Twitter Crackdown On M’sians Not Using Public Transport

KUALA LUMPUR: In a powerful statement, newly appointed Prasarana Chairperson, Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar vowed to pull out all the stops, rounding up Malaysians suspected of not utilising the public transport provider’s convenient LRT, Monorail, Rapid Rail and Rapid Bus services.

“Some have questioned the PM’s choice of a retiring inspector-general of police to head up the nation’s largest public transport operator as yet another instance of ‘jobs for the boys,’ but it’s clear Khalid’s extensive law enforcement experience will be a valuable asset for Prasarana who is tasked to encourage Malaysians to switch over from driving cars to using public transport.” a source confirmed.

It is understood Prasarana with Khalid at the helm, will soon be patrolling social media as part of a twitter crackdown on Malaysians avoiding or criticising public transport.
