North Korean tourism left reeling after all 3 Malaysians cancel trips
PYONGYANG: North Korea’s world class tourism industry suffered a crippling blow today after it was revealed that all three Malaysians planning holidays had decided to cancel their visits in response to the ongoing diplomatic row between the two countries.
“We are disappointed all three Malaysian tourists taking advantage of our visa-free holiday promotion have canceled,” said North Korean People’s Army Tourism Liaison General, Kim Dong-gil.
“Our Kuala Lumpur based operatives wasted months keeping these three Malaysians under constant security surveillance ahead of ordering them to enjoy the greatest holiday of their lives. It is truly regrettable.”
It is understood the hundreds of North Koreans employed by the Tourism Ministry to appear happy, prosperous and well-fed for the benefit of the three Malaysian holidaymakers have been reassigned.
