Terengganu to have trees as fat as their contractor profit margins

KUALA TERENGGANU:  Today botanists employed by the Terengganu state government confirmed the trees seen on Bandar Baharu Kuala Nerus were a fascinating species of deciduous tree whose trunk grows out to be as fat as the profit margins of the contractor planting them.

“This particular strain of Brazilian Ceiba chodatii can somehow detect the excessive margins paid out to landscape contractors,” explained senior trunk girth analyst Dr Abdullah bin Bakar.

“Looking at this specimen with a 2-metre girth which didn’t cost taxpayers RM180,000 because it was planted by a contractor out of the kindness of his heart, I would suspect the profit margins on the state landscaping contract were very fat indeed!”
