PETALING JAYA: Tired of his regular hangouts, this week Peter Chin and family experienced the joy of visiting the exact same shops they normally frequent in an exciting new mall which just opened.
“We started out having pancakes at the new mall’s Coffee Bean,” said Chin in a statement, “I haven’t had pancakes that tasted this good since Saturday’s breakfast at Coffee Bean Sunway Lagoon! The only difference was the trainee manager took longer to microwave them, but he was still quicker than the staff at Coffee Bean Subang Jaya!”
“After breakfast, my son tried on some Skechers to see if they fit like the identical pair he tried in Bangsar, while my wife confirmed the Mothercare store here was almost as big as the Curve’s but not quite as big as KLCC’s!”
“Lunch was the highlight. We ate our usual Nandos Peri Peri sharing platter, but this time we faced south at the new mall instead of our normal east-facing 1Utama Nandos! It really felt new and exciting!”
“It’s important to venture out and try new things,” said Chin getting his regular Chatime bubble tea fix, “that’s why we’re driving to Singapore next month! I hear the Orchard Road Secret Recipe laksas are even bigger than the ones at Mid Valley!”
