SEPANG:  Today loyal AirAsia passengers rejected group CEO Tan Sri Tony Fernandes’ suggestion KLIA2 should be called Low-Cost Carrier Terminal 2 (LCCT2) saying the new name fails to reflect the actual experience of walking through the MAHB’s massive travel hub.

“I spent 6 months training to do the walk to Everest base camp once,” said a man flying to Bangkok, “but my elderly mother and I weren’t prepared for the long trek through empty airport halls and past retail outlets, in the long pre-journey, journey from check-in to our boarding gates!”

“If the Transport Ministry built KLIA2 was renamed, Long-Walk Carrier Terminal2, at least more travelers could wear their hiking shoes!”

Weary transit travelers can take an invigorating rain shower without leaving the airport terminal.

Based on 37,000 passengers daily, tourism officials estimate KLIA2 travelers enjoy 16 million km of bonus budget airport retail safaris a year.
