Cover Up During Ramadan, Kelantan Mufti Tells Thailand

KOTA BARU:  Today the Kelantan Mufti urged Thai women living in towns bordering the state to dress conservatively, as their provocative attire could tempt visiting Muslims.

“The Thai town of Golok is only 40 minutes drive from Kota Baru,” explained mufti Faisal Bin Mohamad, “Thai women should learn that by not wearing tudung or dressing in tight-fitting clothing they could be haram for Kelantanese men making their regular weekend business trips over the border.”

Kelantan's high rate of HIV has been blamed on women who need to take full responsibility for controlling their men's desires.
PAS hope women can stop making excuses and take full personal responsibility for their actions, by getting their irresistible urge to wear sexy tight clothing under control.  Men can’t be blamed for their actions if they fail to do this.

The Kelantan PAS government says economic marginalisation, crime, education, reckless deforestation, drugs, terrorism and poverty are very real, very important issues, however they can only be tackled after the war on tight clothing has been won.
The Kelantan government says state issues such as economic marginalisation, crime, education, reckless deforestation, drug addiction, terrorism and poverty are very important issues that can only be tackled after the war on tight clothing has been won.

So far 32 provocatively dressed Thai women have been let off with a warning, with PAS religious officials promising to soon visit Golok to get a better, hands on feel for the problem.
