KUALA LUMPUR:  The nation’s rosak taxi meters are expected to spontaneously start working again on the 1st April it was revealed today.

“Its always been a mystery why these taxi meters break down,” said a local transport analyst, “but it always seems to happen on rainy evenings when passengers are desperate and have no other way of getting home!  Perhaps it’s some sort of performance anxiety thing?”

A Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) spokesman said, “We hope this 20-67% fare increase ensures taxis better serve the ones that matter most – the politically connected taxi permit owners that take a portion of their income!”
