PUTRAJAYA: In another triumph for democracy, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak is suing PJ Utara MP  Tony Pua and MediaRakyat portal owner Chan Chee Kong for defamation it was announced today.

“The PM and cabinet are tired of these politically motivated attacks,” said a government spokesman, “surely just because the PM is Finance Minister and the Finance Ministry owns 1MDB, and 1MDB was his brain child, and he is on their board, and that his name comes up in shady 1MDB dealings exposed by the Sarawak Report, and his step son’s school mate is playboy Jho Low, and his families’ timely US real estate purchases were revealed in the NY times, doesn’t mean he is personally involved in any way!”

For questioning 1MDB’s solvency and his claims Najib robbed the people, the PM is demanding Mr Pua pay RM42Bil in damages, which coincidentally is the exact same amount as 1MDB’s reported borrowings.

“Let’s hope this case comes off,” said a 1MDB source, “we could really use that money right now!”
