Singaporeans Question Malaysia’s Football Pre-Match Nicotine Training Regime

SINGAPORE:  On the eve of today’s AFF Suzuki Cup 2014 do or die match, Singapore Environmental Council CEO, Jose Raymond, questioned Tiger player Safee Sali’s unorthodox pre-match training regime on Facebook.

“Environmentalists like Mr Jose Raymond  might think they do a lot of good,” said a Malaysian Tiger training coach, “but Singapore’s blue skies and cleaner air have several players suffering acute shortness of breath on the field.”

“The team’s lungs are obviously used to the hazy smoke-filled skies of Malaysia, so we have ordered players to smoke cigarettes to prepare for today’s vital Group B Match.  We would prefer something stronger, but perhaps learning of our training tactics, Singapore has banned Shisha!!”
