KOTA BHARU: Since hudud law committee chairman Datuk Mohd Amar Abdullah suggested the use of guillotines to punish Kuantanese thieves last week, he has been inundated with questions and enquiries from the state’s married women.
“I received a lot of strange requests,” admitted Amar, “it appears some wives want to borrow the guillotines as some sort of welcome home gesture for their traveling husbands.”
One Kelantanese wife said, “I can’t wait to see the look on Hanafi’s face when he comes home from his ‘business trip’ in Golok, to find a guillotine waiting for him in front of our house. If he returns with jewellery I might not use it, but if he brings AIDS, he better run for his life!”
