GOMBAK: This morning PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang responded to DAP central executive committee members who complained about his absence at crucial Pakatan Rakyat meetings.
“How can Pakatan move forward if Hadi doesn’t show up on dates?” said a DAP spokesman, “At least call or text us if you’re not coming. Standing us up like this is very hurtful!”
“Listen, it’s not you, it’s me,” Hadi was quoted as saying, “Right now, PAS isn’t ready to settle down with anyone. We need some space to find ourselves.”
“DAP and PAS have a lot of good memories, but we’ve drifted apart. You guys like pork chop, we like criminal limb chop, but in the end, we don’t have much in common!”
“PAS will never forget that special ‘electoral tsunami’ we shared. But right now, we don’t want to be tied down to a political coalition. We should both see other people. Can we just be friends?”
