Election Commission says despite leaks, no need for voters to resit GE13

PUTRAJAYA:  Today the Election Commission reassured the rakyat that despite reported GE13 leaks, Malaysians would not have to resit last year’s General Election.

“Yes we are aware indelible ink used during GE13, leaked off  of some voter’s fingers,” said an EC spokesman, “and this might have affected 30 closely fought parliamentary seats and alter the overall election outcome.”

“But why should everyone have to suffer just because of the actions of a few?  Re-sitting another 13th General Election would be a very traumatic experience for politically fatigued voters after all that wasted time and effort studying political issues last year!”
