KAJANG: The three candidates contesting for the March 22nd Kajang by-election will be out campaigning this weekend. Each of them tried their best to ‘out humble’ one other by explaining to voters why they didn’t expect to win.
Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said, “With the Barisan Nasional’s awesome election machinery out to get me, a looming sodomy case and PKR infighting, I really don’t expect to win this by-election. The public outrage with this Kajang move is also a factor. I’m definately going into this race as the underdog.”
MCA vice-president Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun dismissed the comment, “Now that the MCA flip-flopped their pledge to refuse government posts, I doubt many voters would waste a vote on me! I agree with the Prime Minister when he said any BN candidate will be the real underdogs of this by-election,
But independent candidate Datuk Mohd Zaid Ibrahim disagreed with both statements, “My loser opponents don’t even see me as a threat! That just proves I’ve got more loser credentials than they do! I expect to lose this race and my deposit. I’m the real underdog of underdogs!”
An inspired Kajang voter said, “It’s so hard to choose. These candidates all deserve to lose for different reasons. It’s almost a shame someone will have to actually win this thing!”
