Rallies unrelated to removing BN government permitted

KUALA LUMPUR: On Friday the Home Ministry who normally doesn’t allow public demonstrations allowed two public demonstrations. Muslims from both UMNO and PAS protested their justifiable outrage at a blasphemous 13-minute anti-Islam YouTube clip starring out of work porn stars made by a militant Christian Egyptian living in California.
Minister for buying things from his cousin at ridiculous prices, condemned the film trailer, “If Americans allow this type of free expression than all good Muslims should boycott products from American companies immediately!” he tweeted from his IPhone4S.
“It’s great to be able to take to the streets once in a while to send a message about something important,” said one protestor, “It does seem strange that there are no chemical water cannons, tear gas or violent police here to stop us. I feel like I’m peacefully protesting overseas!”
Eyzva Ezhar Ramly who participated in the 2009 anti-Hindu cow head protest told FMN, “I really had to join the UMNO march today. I can’t stand it when imbeciles try to provoke people by insulting their sacred religious beliefs!”
A Member of the Malaysia Small and Medium Entrepreneurs Alliance (Ikhlas) told FMN, “Rallies like this are always disruptive to petty traders in Kuala Lumpur but we won’t be seeking damages or opening protesting burger stands in front of the houses of these rally organisers.
“The protestors don’t seem to be doing anything that worries us right now,” a Home Ministry spokesman told FMN, “It’s not like they want a clean electoral roll or a corruption free government. They are just blocking traffic, burning Jewish flags, and threatening to murder people who insult their religion. We didn’t make any arrests because it makes a nice change not to be the most hated thing on people’s minds.”
